The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box. There are 5 things you need to know, he told the pencil, before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.

One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand.

Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better pencil.

Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

Four: The most important part of you will always be what's inside.

And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.

The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

I GOT IT GOT IT!! Quidam in my mailbox.. yay.. my heart is sooooooo moved... i m in love... sooo in love..with Quidam with Cirque De Soleil, with their beautiful imagination, unlimited creation... i got the books full of pix of Cirque..and cd Quidam and listen .. i donno how many times..loz loz and i forgot to count and dont care to do that actually...my frens told me i m crazy .. yea maybe i am.. like when i love a cd or a melody or a piece.. i can listen to it over and over so many times.. and feel more and more in love with it every " more " time i listen...somebody outthere had/ have same feelings???....maybe thaz crazy but yea i love it love it..and heres me and quidam.. She was in a rush for her meeting.Need to make some copies of documents before getting to Horizon hotel.Traffic was so jerky, even worse couldnt find any photocopy shop.As she was galloping her bike thru the streets while keeping eyes around,she caught one shop,"Lucky me!, she thought.

Enter the shop. Give the documents to be copied to the guy whos about her age.Waiting.

This guys seemed to be new with working with this machine.He tried 4 times but the papers did not get through. She was in such a rush so felt a little bit impatient.

Then the guy kept messing up the papers in her pile while still could not operate the machine. Clock striked. Thats an important meeting.And no other shop around. Impatient and now annoyed. Looking at the guy messing around her papers, some thoughts running in her mind " Idiot!Come on i m late! Is this really ur machine? If donno how to operate it then why open this shop? Stupid! Come one.."

If she had known how to operate it she would have helped. But she didnt know either.

There was another man ,about 40 who was typing on PC , stood up and came to the boy.Probably hes the shop owner . He told the boy how to do stuff and kept saying " I told you so many times how to make it work. You are so stupid. Bulls are even more clever than you. Idiot. Watch and remember!".. then he showed the guys while keeping shouting loz of damn and worse words.

She was totally stunt.Then she was angry. But silent.She looked at the young guys and guessed he's probably one of the thousands rural kids who at this time often go to stay at their relatives's houses to study to prepare for university exams.And inreturn they help those families with housework and other stuff.

It was an intense moment for her. She felt angry with rude words,with actions,and with herself for saying nothing.

The copies were done. She took them, paid, took her bike and rode away. She was in a rush remember..

But she couldnt ride fast. Things just stuck in her mind. All the words. The pic of the guy with furious and grouchy face. The image of the boy scared , confused ,and must be embarassed too being scolded with piggy words infront of a girl about his age. Anyone has his values and his pride. It must hurt so much.

She thought about how she was silent at that time.

She thought about her silent thoughts when the guys could not operate the machine and messed up her papers.She dId not say those words out. But whats the difference. Said or not said, the thoguhts were still as bad.

Then she was trying to tell herself.It was becuz she was in a rush. And she did not always feel like that toward others. But this was just a soo important meeting in her life. And those papers were so important. And she did not say those words out cuz she did not really meant. They just flashed when she was worried and annoyed.

No matter how many thoughts came up to her mind to convince, she still felt bad. SO bad.there just couldnt be any excuse.

And something weighed her down ,she could not look up for a while. She thought of Child of Gaia. And,in the sun, she saw a shadow.
